Polishing lap with a composite surface coated with cerium oxide. It is ideal for polishing gems such as quartz, beryll, feldspar, iolite and opal. The cerium oxide is of very high optical grade with 99,9% purity.

Lubricate and cool with dripping water with just a drip of surfactant added.

Diameter 200 mm (8"). Arbor 12.7 mm (1/2").

Lightning Lap is also available with a coating of Alumina oxide A2-Brutus more suitable for gems such as Topaz, Tourmaline and Garnet or without coating (natural) for use with diamond or oxide slurry.
